The pit with our new drum shorts and our CPit Guys and Girls shirts...and no we did not plan the colors...

So today I'd have to say was the most successful day of tour. I got a lot done today individually, and the pit got a lot done today. Everything throughout the day just seemed to go very smoothly.

I woke up to a voicemail from my best friend from home which was a great surprise because I hadn't talked to him much since I left home. So before breakfast I talked to him for about an hour. That set the precedent for the rest of the day. Today was a show day and we needed to make sure we got some things cleaned and sounding good. We only had one instructor in for these few days and his job was to make sure we sounded great when the other instructors come back in. Let me tell you, we definitely worked on a lot of parts of the show over and over and over again. We have all got to a different level as players and performers. It's got to the point in the season where people start to check out, get frustrated, and need an extra kick to get going. But it seems to me that everyone in the pit is doing well and excited to get to work everyday. That's another reason why the day went very smoothly. The attitude of the pit, as well as the corps, seems to be great despite the time of summer we're at. Half way through, just got to keep on keeping on. We are getting better everyday.

The show tonight was a great performance. My favorite part of the show is at the beginning when the angels come from one side of the stadium to set the scene and then the demons come on from the other side of the field just waiting to take over. This definitely sets the vibe of the entire performance. It gives me goosebumps with everything that is going on in the pit musically and on the field visually. The crowd hadn't seen us in a few years so they gave us a great welcome back to the stadium.
