Day 18 & 19

Date: June 2

PART 2 of electronics. I'm still having some trouble with the internet connection here uploading the video. Hopefully when we get on the road, the bus Wifi will be better than this internet connection. But here is an update that is similar to the electronics...sort of...more just similar to the logistical side of the pit.

The gracious volunteers reconstructed the inside of the truck to accomodate all the different and new instruments that we have in the pit this year. So before they bolt everything down for good, they need us to load the truck and see what works to let them know if they need to alter anything. Having to fit four 8' long marimbas, four 6 1/2' vibraphones, five timpani, 2 racks, and more equipment than you could imagine forces us to get a little creative. But in the end, we figured out how to make everything fit (with very minimal adjustments).

Dinner tonight (Day 19) was amazing. They gave us grilled chicken, pasta, rice/beans/onions, and broccoli. Absolutely unbelievable the food that the kitchen puts together. It was a great way to end the day.

I'm starting to get some color...
My tan arm vs. my pale leg

Here is the newest video that the Cadets All Access has released:

P.S. I've decided to change the "Quote of the Day" to "Thought of the Day" because after seeing all of the different things I've posted in there, they aren't really quotes per say, they're more just things to think about when going throughout the day.

Thought of the day: "Pray everyone in the Springfield, MA area. They have been tragically hit by tornados."
